Frequently Asked Questions

- How do I use Afterpay?

When you shop at skcreations.com, choose "Afterpay" as your payment method at checkout, register with Afterpay and provide payment details (they accept Visa or Mastercard).  If you’ve used Afterpay before, just log in to your Afterpay account and complete your order.

Please note:  All items in your shopping bag must be eligible for Afterpay, and the total value must be between $35-$2000.

- Is there a cost to use Afterpay?

Afterpay is a free service offered by retailers to shoppers - there are no upfront fees charged and no interest is incurred.

The only fees that may be incurred by shoppers are late fees if your scheduled payments are unsuccessfully processed and, after being notified, you do not log in to your Afterpay account to make your payment via a different method.

Late fees for shoppers in the USA are capped at 25% of the order value.

- Is Afterpay safe and secure?

Afterpay is a PCI DSS Level 1 certified compliant Service Provider organization.  PCI DSS is a comprehensive set of requirements created by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council to enhance cardholder data security and to ensure the safe handling and storage of sensitive credit card information and data.  This is the highest level of security in the payment industry.

- How does the Afterpay payment schedule work?

All Afterpay customers are required to make their first payment at the time of purchase.  Three remaining installment payments are deducted automatically from your selected payment method every two weeks.  If you would like to make additional unscheduled payments before they are due, you may log in to Afterpay to make your payments early.  Afterpay will then adjust your amount owed accordingly.

You can log in to your Afterpay account anytime to view your payment schedule or make a payment before the next due date.

- When will my first payment be taken?

You will more than likely pay the first installment of the purchase price at the time you place your order.  If you have been shopping with Afterpay for some time, and have a really good repayment history, you may find that Afterpay defers taking the first payment until 2 weeks after you make your purchase (15 days for residents of California).

In all cases you will be notified on screen if the first payment is due at the time of the purchase.  Afterpay will also send you a confirmation email outlining the amounts and dates that the payments are due.

- First payment higher than the other three?

For some purchases, if your total order amount exceeds your Afterpay-approved spending limit, the first payment may be higher than subsequent payments.  Afterpay will show you how the installments are split before you pay.

- What if I can't pay an Afterpay installment?

If funds are not available or you otherwise do not make your payment when it is due, late fees may apply.  Click here for complete terms.
