HOPE

This year has kicked butt and I don't know anyone who isn't glad that it's almost over.  If nothing else it's taught us that we are not in control, and that if we want to maintain our safety and sanity we must be patient and trust that all will work out for the best.  This may be easier said than done, but I feel that the key is to stay hopeful.  If you think optimistically and have an expectation of a positive outcome, it will likely make it easier to get through the challenging times.

I have always made hope a cornerstone of how I move through life.  I have had my challenges, big and small, and there is no question that hope has seen me through.  I may not have always known how I was going to get through something but I always believed that I would.

My feeling of hope continues to lead the way and it hasn't failed me yet.  I can't imagine that all of the trials and tribulations, pain, loss, affliction and difficulties the world has experienced during 2020 will ultimately have been without a silver lining.  I believe that every bad situation has some positive aspect and we just have to be open to seeing it.  When we focus on the positive and stay hopeful that some good will come out of the difficulty, this mindset will ultimately bring us peace.  I like to think of HOPE in this way:

H = Having
O = Optimism
P = Proves
E = Effective
