I was excited to present my new SS2023 collection at DC Fashion Week since the show was right in my hometown. As expected, it was a different experience from New York Fashion Week with a flavor all its own. Truth be told, I didn't know anything about this biannual event until I was being interviewed during the February New York Fashion Week show and was asked where I was from. After answering the question, I was then asked if I was showing at DC Fashion Week two weeks later. The interview team was traveling there next to cover the show. Of course I had to find out more!
Washington, DC is known for politics and government but it isn't seen as a fashion mecca. It is, however, a melting pot of individuals from all over the world who have a desire for stylish attire, as evidenced by the diverse crowd at the sold-out event. This hidden gem is not to be missed!
